FAQs for Students

1) What is Studentpad?

Studentpad is an online accommodation search website. Landlords, Student Halls and Letting Agents can use studentpad to advertise available student accommodation. Students can use Studentpad to search for student accommodation available in their local area.

2) What are the benefits of registering for a student account?

Once registered with Studentpad you can save your favourite properties to your Hotlist and make property Enquires directly through the studentpad site. You can also set up property Alerts for properties that match your criteria, so you hear as soon as a property becomes available.

3) How do I register for a student account?

There are two places on the homepage you can navigate to register on Studentpad

You will then need to enter a few details to get registered

Your chosen password must be

  1. Longer than 8 characters long
  2. Contain 1 capital letter
  3. Contain 1 number

You will then receive an email to the address you provided to validate your account.

4) I can't remember my login details

You can request a password re-set to the email address you registered with.

First navigate to 'My Studentpad'/ 'Student Login'

Enter the email address your account is registered with and select reset password.

You will receive a reset password link to your inbox.

5) How can I enquire about a property listed on Studentpad?

There are two ways to enquire about a property you see advertised on Studentpad. You can use the contact details listed on the advertisment, or if you have registered for a Studentpad account use the enquiry button and receive a response direct to your inbox.

6) How can I add a property to my Hotlist on Studentpad?

If you have registered for a Studentpad account, use the Hotlist button on the property listing and see your favourite properties together in one place.

7) How do I register for property alerts?

If you have registered for a Studentpad account, there are two places on the homepage you can navigate to set up personalised property alerts.

8) Do I need to set a search criteria?

No, you can use the search button on the studentpad home page to ‘Search Everything’.

9) How do I set my search criteria?

You can use the Homepage search filters to set your search criteria, you can change these by navigating back to the Homepage at any time.

10) How do I filter my search results?

Once you have your search results you can use the filters on the results page to narrow down your list even further.

11) How do I search for agents or landlords that offer a Covid-19 flexible booking policy?

You can use the 'Covid-19 Flexible Booking Policy' toggle. This will display only the properties advertised by agents and landlords that offer a Covid-19 Flexible Booking Policy.

You can then see each individual policy on each property listing

12) How can I see if a property has Sustainable Living features?

If the advertised property has any Sustainable Living features these can be listed by the agent/landlord and will appear on the property details page of each advert listing.

13) How can I find out information about my local area?

You can navigate to the 'Go Local' page on the main menu to find some local information

14) Do I have to pay to use Studentpad?

No! Studentpad is a free resource for students to search for accommodation. Studentpad is not a booking engine and will not deal with your tenancy.
